Personal Responsibility

What is Personal Responsibility? -

If you ask me, personal responsibility is two things: Control of oneself and their behavior, and doing what needs to be properly done to succeed and strive in life. When an individual has personal responsibility towards their own actions, they know how to handle a situation that they become involved in even when they are the one to blame. In knowing that they need to be responsible for what happened, they can resolve the problem and know how to take care of any future issues they encounter due to their actions.

Responsibility is also overcoming the obstacles that come in ones way to accomplish their goals. Nothing comes easy and even so, there are still steps that one has to take in order to complete the task/goal. For example, when an individual is given an assignment, they are required to do the assignment or get penalized. It is not by choice and the individual should be responsible in completing the assignment with no excuses. If they cannot complete the assignment for any reason though, they should still be responsible in receiving the punishment and completing the following assignments. Each person has personal responsibility but it is their choice of how responsible they want to be.

When something bad happens! -

In situations that involve me, I usually bear some, or all, of the responsibility for it. I know that if I provoked the problem or I did something that contributed to the bad outcome, I should take the blame because I know I did wrong. Also, I know if I am at fault if I made a bad decision that could have prevented the situation. Sometimes problems arise where both people involved are to blame but in any case, an individuals responsibility is to know they were at fault and resolve the issue.

Curiousity = Exploration (:

Throughout the ages, people have always had a desire to explore the unknown. Many sailed the seas with hopes of discovering the destinations they had always imagined. In order to make these voyages, these explorers travelled long and far across the land. Their devotion drove them to keep searching to become the first person to discover the unknown. But in order to devote themselves to a lifetime of exploration, they sacrificed leaving their families, education, and their own lives. They wanted to make it possible for others to know what was out in the distance. Curiousity made it possible for some of the greatest discoveries made by individuals throughout the ages.
